Step-by-Step Process
Step 1 — Before: Exposed washer hookups
We started by evaluating the existing washing machine hookups, which were positioned too low and left exposed. Our goal was to modernize this setup and create a cleaner, safer connection point.
Step 2 — Drywall cut and access opened
We marked the area and used a multi-tool to cut the drywall for clean access. This opening was planned so it could be patched later and restored to a clean finish.
Step 3 — Framing cut and workspace prepared
After removing the drywall, we used a sawzall where needed to adjust thicker framing and create proper space for the new recessed box.
Step 4 — New recessed laundry box installed
Before cutting any plumbing, we shut off the water supply to prevent damage. Then we cleaned and prepped the copper lines so the new recessed box could be installed securely and professionally.
Step 5 — After: Clean, modern final result
We completed final adjustments, verified the connections, and ensured everything was aligned and ready for everyday use. The result is a much cleaner installation with better organization and protection.
